Located in the heart of
Summerside’s vibrant
downtown cultural district, the Lefurgey Cultural Centre is part of a larger collection of notable heritage sites known as the Wyatt Heritage
Properties. Extensive and skillful restoration have
created an unmatched blend of culture and elegant
architecture perfect for any special celebration.
The Wyatt Foundation presented three historic houses to the City of Summerside in 2000. It was a gift envisioned by the late
Wanda Lefurgey Wyatt and was gratefully received by the City to become the cornerstone as well as the physical location for its heritage
and cultural programs.
The MacNaught History Centre and Archives was acquired in 1998 and houses archival resources.
The Wyatt House is the centerpiece of the properties and treats visitors to a look into the lives of the prominent Wyatt family
who resided here for over a hundred years.
The Lefurgey Cultural Centre is dedicated to arts education and training and to cultural learning.
